Normative Instruction No. 60/2019 of the National Department of Business Registration and Integration, (part of the Ministry of Economy) entered into force on April 30, allowing lawyers and accountants to authenticate, by declaration, copies of documents presented to the Registry of Commerce for registration, exempting notarial authentication.
According to the regulation, the lawyer or accountant will only have to present a separate declaration of authenticity, adopting the model that contains document specification and number of sheets, as well as a simple copy of the lawyer’s or accountant’s professional license. The norm also establishes that the professional responsible for the authentication of the documents is the same that must sign the request for registration.
This is another measure brought by the Government to make the document registration process in the country’s Registries of Commerce less bureaucratic and expedite the process for filing corporate documents.
